Over the past 8 years, I’ve owned and operated a digital marketing agency and it has definitely been an experience full of problems, learning from those problems, and repeating the process. What started with just me and one other person grew into something truly incredible.
I have personally experienced the strain that comes with running a chaotic business, where it feels like you’re constantly putting out fires and juggling a million things at once. It can be overwhelming. I felt overwhelmed. The stress, the long hours, and the feeling like there’s always something else demanding your attention. I knew it didn’t have to be that way, so I made a choice… the choice to find what was causing the chaos and fix it.
It all came down to processes. When I first started, there were no systems and no processes, hence the chaos. Over time, I implemented the right processes and helped scale our agency from just two people to a team of 20+. Along the way, we went from $8,000 in monthly recurring revenue to over $100,000 in monthly recurring revenue and created a fully automated system that made the daily chaos manageable. I eventually had the opportunity to sell the agency, which was an incredible milestone, but what I’m most proud of is that we built something that made managing the business simple.
